Harley-Davidson got it’s very humble launch when William Harley and Arthur Davidson developed the first production motorcycle in 1903. The motorbike was developed  in a small shed wooden with the name Harley-Davidson Motor company on the front door and had become the racing bike. In 1905 Harley-Davidson wins it’s first race and employs it’s first employee. The first motorcylce was sold to the Detroit Police Department in 1908 also it was utilized as a police service. H-D built 6 story factory in 1912 then began to export their first bikes to Japan.
H-D entered the national racing circuit in 1914 and became named “the wrecking crew”. By 1917 one-third of all motorcycles manufactured would be sold to the military, and had also been the start of the Service School for Harley-Davidson Mechanics, for both military and civilian bikes.
Half of the bikes in 1918 were sent to Military service of World War 1 and it was Roy Holtz the first soldier have ridden the H-D Motorcycle in Germany. The motocycle company became more profitable in 1920 with 2,000 dealers in 67 countries in the whole world.
Except for the Indian Motorcyle Company, most of the competitors of Harley-Davidson got lost. In 1953, there were only two successful motocrycle companies, the Harley-Davidson and the Indian Motorcycle Company.
As the world goes in into World War 2, so does Harley get back into Military motorcycle generation, and the service school is turned back to the military motorcycle service school, also known as the Quartermaster School for military mechanics. The Harley-Davidson Motorcycle were barely reached out by the public during this time.
